The Annapolis Trust believes the success of our students is rooted in the personal mentoring relationships we have developed with each of our students. Our mentoring cycle ideally starts before the student begins her/his technical training or college, continues through their higher education experience and provides assistance to students as they transition into their chosen career.
Our mentors provide inspiration and practical guidance to our students to ultimately encourage them to their fullest potential. They help them set short term academic and career goals and understand the “big picture.” The mentor shares their experiences as the student explores her/his career path and networking opportunities to help pave the way to a sustainable job.
Enrich a young person’s life and your own as well! At least 3-5 hours per month is required as well as participation in several networking and training events each year. Ultimately, the goal is to mentor the student until she/he graduate and enter a career.
A career mentor will be listed in our database as a potential industry contact for our students. Career mentors are available to email, Skype or have phone conversations with students and actively connect students within their industry network. Members may also be invited to speak at educational events for students, participate in Annapolis Trust mentor training and networking events.
